Love this!
This is a great product! Some days you just dont feel like a red lip or you just working in the yard and want to still feel like a lady. I have 3 tubes - one in my purse, one in my make drawer and one just in case! The color is beautiful on fair (pale) skin. You teeth look whiter and blue eyes bluer. The berry tint is amazing. I never wear lip gloss - I hate the sticky feeling This stuff feel smooth just like lipstick but light in color with some shine.

Mixed Feelings
I'm super fair, and have strawberry blonde hair color, and I have grey eyes. At first putting this shade on I honestly didn't like it, but I showed my fiancee and my friend Hillary, they both like it on me, so I'm confused. I love the formula, and I went with this over Frog Prince because of the recommendation from the sales clerk at Ulta, saying that my lips had a more purple tone to them, so this would look better. I'm still trying to make up my mind, but I'm sure I'll like it with more wear.

Perfect shade
This really works for cool-toned people or for the super fair. I'm pale as a ghost, black hair, blue eyes and lipstick never looks right on me - especially any kind of pink shade. Well this was made for me. It gives me a beautiful pink-bitten lip without looking overly done. I use it every day and it's my favorite go-to lip color.

I was feeling brave, so purchased 3 lipsticks online, just guessing how they would look. Hello Sailor is my favorite of the 3 - with my silver & brown hair, blue eyes, and medium light skin, this blue lipstick turns color to my inner lip color - it is a perfect neutral, yet it doesn't disappear. Happily, I was able to find this at my local Ulta store. I had tried the color changing lipsticks before, years ago, and they had all seemed to turn my lips purple, so I was curious to see if this would also. To my delight it turned a beautiful cool mauve that goes perfectly with my skin tone and with any color clothes I wear. It is so conditioning to my lips as well, wonderfully softening and glossy without being sticky or goopy. This lipstick, unlike most lipsticks I own, goes everywhere with me!

I just love the tinge of purple this leaves on my lips, and it keeps them moisturized, too! This one goes so well with anything--you can darken up an outfit or add a bit of color to neutrals. It's a great way to add color without making too much of a statement, if you want to stay under the radar.

Who knew?
I have warm olive skin, green eyes and black hair. I've avoided wearing anything blue (makeup and clothing) my whole life, because it usually makes me look washed out. Was I ever surprised when I tried this unique color! Somehow Hello Sailor turns into the lovliest color that's not purple, plum, or pink! It's a sheer red-violet that somehow works beautifully with my coloring. This leaves lips supple, plump, and healthy, and it's stylish as well as fun. I adore it.

Really wanted to like it
I really wanted to like this lipstick. But it just did not give me the berry color that everyone is raving about. Only a hint of pink for me. I will say that it is very moisturizing and I use it as a balm.

I am Italian so i have a darker complexion and actually have pretty red lips with no lipstick or gloss on. I love Hello Sailor because it gives my naturally red lips a boost and shine that ive never had before, its not sticky or gluey feeling like alot of other lipsticks/glosses and it feels buttery and rich. Pleasantly surprised!
Well, I initially thought it was too sheer to be noticeable (I have olivey skin) but layering on a few times really made a difference. I'm surprised how flattering and effective this is -- sort of a you-only-better look. I actually grab Hello Sailor a lot now for a quick natural flush on lips. I'm a convert!

Like Medieval, the color on the stick is quite different from the color on your lips. Hello Sailor gives me a nice warm plum color that is wearable for any occasion. Hello Sailor is similar to Clinique's Black Honey -- another great stain that looks one way in the tube, another, delicious way on your mouth.
