Really wanted to like it
I really wanted to like this lipstick. But it just did not give me the berry color that everyone is raving about. Only a hint of pink for me. I will say that it is very moisturizing and I use it as a balm.

I am Italian so i have a darker complexion and actually have pretty red lips with no lipstick or gloss on. I love Hello Sailor because it gives my naturally red lips a boost and shine that ive never had before, its not sticky or gluey feeling like alot of other lipsticks/glosses and it feels buttery and rich. Pleasantly surprised!
Well, I initially thought it was too sheer to be noticeable (I have olivey skin) but layering on a few times really made a difference. I'm surprised how flattering and effective this is -- sort of a you-only-better look. I actually grab Hello Sailor a lot now for a quick natural flush on lips. I'm a convert!

The color is a very natural berry pink. The texture feels more like a creamy balm and is very moisturizing. The color will go with anything you wear. The thing I love most is my Son is a Sailor in the U.S. Navy. So the color blue with the theme is awesome to me. Best lipstick ever and cute packing.

I am VERY, VERY, VERY picky about lipstick, but this Hello Sailor is perfect. When I first put it on, it was subtle, a darker shade of my natural lip color. It's a soft, completely wearable with everything shade. I think I should order a case!

Like Medieval, the color on the stick is quite different from the color on your lips. Hello Sailor gives me a nice warm plum color that is wearable for any occasion. Hello Sailor is similar to Clinique's Black Honey -- another great stain that looks one way in the tube, another, delicious way on your mouth.
